Regional Water Quality Programs
Organisations are invited to put forward proposals to be part of regional water quality programs in the Lower Herbert, Lower Burdekin and Mary catchments.
This is the second open process for the establishment of regional water quality improvement programs in priority Reef catchments and consists of:
- An Expression of Interest (EOI) to identify potential delivery providers to implement projects that will substantially reduce the amount of pollutants entering the waters surrounding the Reef.
- A Request for Proposals (RFP) to appoint a Program Manager and a Partnership Coordinator for each program.

The expressions of interest for regionally focused water quality improvement programs in the Pioneer, Plane Creek, Fitzroy and Mackenzie catchments as part of the $141 million investment in regional programs are now closed.
The expressions of interest for the Innovation and Systems Change Program and Expert Advisory Services are now closed.
Funding opportunities for regionally focused programs in the Upper and East Burdekin, the Upper Herbert, and the Russell-Mulgrave catchments are expected to open in early 2020.
