Anna joined the Foundation in January 2016 with a strong vision to lead the charity for the Great Barrier Reef. For almost 20 years, she has worked extensively across Queensland not for profit and creative industries in leadership, marketing and business development roles.
Before taking on the Foundation role, Anna was CEO of Queensland Ballet, leading the organisation through a major change program that achieved significant operational, philanthropic and reputational growth. Her previous roles include General Manager – Creative at Rowland, Australia’s leading corporate communications agency, Development Director of the Queensland Art Gallery and GoMA, and General Manager at the Institute of Modern Art.
Anna has represented on the Boards of the Brisbane Festival, Brisbane Powerhouse and Circa, and has been awarded the Australian Institute of Management’s Not for Profit Manager of the Year (2013), a Winston Churchill Memorial Fellowship (2003) and Young Arts Manager of the Year (2001).
A Queensland University of Technology alumnus, Anna graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Drama) majoring in arts administration.
