Orica’s Purple Peloton team conquered a series of on-land and in-water challenges to win the hotly contested ReefBlitz Corporate Team Challenge in Townsville on 16 October. 

Competing with seven other teams in a series of hands-on challenges and quizzes on Magnetic Island, Orica’s team of Ben Horsfield, James Kirkpatrick, Ryan Reilly, George Ryan and ORICA-GreenEDGE rider Luke Durbridge finished on top of the winner’s podium.

Together the eight corporate teams from Orica, Boeing, Qantas, Brisbane Airport Corporation, BMA and Townsville Enterprise recorded more than 250 individual observations, with over 50 species identified, contributing to research for the Reef.
